Why “Paul’s Handyman Solutions”?

Why did I choose “Paul’s Handyman Solutions” for my business name?

Paul’s: My first name is Paul. When you hire me, you get an experienced handyman with extensive engineering experience.

Handyman: I like working with my hands. I also love working on complex technical problems - including many types of mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, computer, and software problems. My interests, skills, and experience vary considerably. You might call me a modern day “Renaissance man.” A typical handyman would probably bring to mind “mechanical problem solver” - but I bring many more skills and interests to the table!

Solutions: My background and training is in engineering - electrical engineering. I love solving complex problems. I love electronics, and anything associated with electronics. Over the years, I’ve worked as an electrical engineer, quality engineer, software engineer, power distribution engineer, and process improvement engineer. I’ve always enjoyed taking broken things (electronics, furniture, etc.) apart and then fixing them (most of the time). Over the past few years, I’ve also learned how to make shop cabinets (which must be made to tight tolerances if the drawers are to function well), and have subsequently offered online courses teaching others how to do basic woodworking. Paul’s Handyman Solutions captures a lot of how I can help homeowners, but I can help solve a much larger variety of home owner problems than a typical handyman. Some problems are simple to fix, other more complex problems may require some thorough analysis and lot of work and expense to address. I will do my best to offer you a variety of ways to address your home owner problems - you make the call on which approach you want to take. If I don’t have the skills or abilities to address your issue, I will do my best to offer suggestions for other ways to solve your problem.
